Driver Trainers Car and LGV wanted20-02-2017

Driver Trainer / Instructor (ADI) 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw

£23,166 to £24,717 per annum

Applications are invited for a non-operational Driver Training Instructor to assist the Authority by providing support on training and operation of CAT B Fire Vehicles. You will be required to train personnel in a number of specialist vehicles to recognised national standards to 999 response driving. An ADI qualified instructor with a full and current driving licence is essential.

You will be carrying out instruction in line with the requirements of the department as directed by the Driver Training Manager. Daily vehicle checks, up keep of training records and administration work as required by current course requirements.

Applicants must be Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) and possess a recognised teaching / training and assessors qualification along with good computer skills. The successful canididate will have a sound knowledge of driving skills, legislation and road safety knowledge and the ability to implement practical health and safety at work.

Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw

Applications are invited for a non-operational Driver Training Instructor to assist the Authority by providing support on training and operation of Fire Appliances. You will be required to train personnel in a number of specialist vehicles to recognised national standards, ranging from initial LGV to 999 response driving. A full and current driving licence is essential.

You will be carrying out instruction in line with the requirements of the department as directed by the Driver Training Manager. Daily vehicle checks, up keep of training records and administration work as required by current course requirements.

Applicants will have held an LGV licence (Cat C) for a minimum of 3 years along with experience of training LGV drivers to a high standard. The successful candidate must have a recognised teaching / training and assessors qualification along with good computer skills. A sound knowledge of driving skills, legislation and road safety knowledge is pre-requisite as is the ability to implement practical health and safety at work.
